Karin Donckers back on track

As predicted Belgian eventing’s leading lady Karin Donckers did not disappoint in her international come back from a non riding related accident earlier on this year.

At the third week of Portugese event Barroca d’Alva Donckers rode the full brothers Fletcha van’t Verahof BWP (Vigo d’Arsouilles x South Gale XX) and Belgian Warmblood approved breeding stallion Leipheimer van ‘t Verahof into first and second place in the CCI4*-S.

Karin Donckers also showed her class in the CCI3*-S winning the class riding Grandioz BWP (Shindler de Muze x A Lucky One).

More good results for team Belgium.

Also on the money in the CCI4*-S was Joris Vanspringel (BEL) riding Creator GS KWPN (Kreator x Caruso) finishing 7th.

Vanspringel also competed Bill Bailey NRPS (Bontfire M x Casantos) in the CCI2*-L finishing 12th out of the 32 starters. The Portugal Winter Tour has been the first international competition experience for this interesting nine year old piebald.

With the somewhat more experienced Nolimit Vdb Z by. Nabab de Rêve Vanspringel finished 8th in the CCI2*-S.

Tumble for Laschet.

In the CCI4*-S Hugo Laschet (BEL) introduced the talented nine year old Caitane VD Cumul Z (Concord Z x Denver) to the level. The duo finished with honours ranked 16th out of the 25 starters.

Riding his top horse Ishak de Monfirak CH (Ishan x Calndo) in the CCI4-L horse and rider took an unfortunate tumble out of the coffin.
